
The King County Sheriff's Office will investigate a Seattle police officer after a video from Wednesday night's protest circulated on social media, showing him rolling his bike over the head of a person lying on the ground.
Seattle's Office of Police Accountability (OPA) responded to the incident early Thursday morning, after the Seattle Police Department's Force Investigation Team (FIT) notified them at 2:40 a.m., an OPA news release said. The OPA said at 5 a.m., after analyzing the interview and interviews conducted by FIT, it would request a criminal investigation performed by an outside law enforcement agency, to which SPD agreed.
