Gresham Police Investigate Murder of 24-Year-Old at Pat Pfeifer Park

Gresham, Oregon — At approximately 8:43 p.m. on Nov. 28, Gresham Police responded to a death investigation call at Pat Pfeifer Park located at 424 NE 172nd Ave.

Gresham police found Jose Juan Santos-Elias dead from an apparent gunshot wound after responding to a death investigation call at 424 Northeast 172nd Avenue at about 8:45 p.m The medical examiner's office determined Jose died as a result of being shot and has ruled the death a homicide.

Gresham police believe Santos-Elias may have been shot about an hour before police arrived, according to Kevin Carlson, a spokesperson for the department.

The East County Major Crimes Team is leading the investigation and there have been no arrests made in this case yet.
