He's the chief physician executive at St. Charles Health Care in Bend.
"We have been experiencing a large number of COVID-19 patients over the last several weeks. I think we're an outlier to the rest of the state and a large part of the country," said Absalon.
Of the 500-plus COVID-19 patients in the hospital in the last three months, most of them had not had a vaccination.
"That is indeed true. So it turns out that since March 1st, 98% of the patients that we have had hospitalized for COVID-19 have not been fully vaccinated. Vaccination is very protective. And we certainly encourage everybody who has not taken advantage of the vaccine to do so," Absalon said...
