PORTLAND, Oregon - Portland authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed by a police officer in Southeast Portland on Friday as 46-year-old Robert Douglas Delgado.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner's office concluded that Delgado died of "a single gunshot wound." His family has been notified of his death.

By Saturday evening, a memorial had already formed at Lents Park, where Delgado was shot, with people placing flowers, balloons, and candles along a fence.

Delgado's sister, Paulette Martin described him to KATU as super funny, adding that he was always cracking jokes.

"He loved his family and friends. He would take his shirt off his back for anyone. He enjoyed painting cars and he was good at it," she said...
