Update 10:30 p.m.: The child was found safe and deputies said there was no foul play suspected in her disappearance.


The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 9-year-old girl who has been missing from a Lake Oswego home since Monday evening.

Deputies said the girl was last seen around 6:45 p.m. in the area of Southwest Queens Park Road and Southwest Roosevelt Avenue in Lake Oswego. She is four-foot-six with strawberry-blond, shoulder-length hair and was last seen wearing a tan sweatshirt, blue and white leggings and pink shoes.

The sheriff's office said they were conducting an "urban search" for the girl. They did not release any information about whether she is believed to be alone or with someone. They did not release any information about the circumstances of her disappearance.

Fox 12 Oregon reported that the child went outside to do a chore, and never returned. They said deputies told them she has never run away before.

Anyone who sees the missing girl is asked to call 911. The sheriff's office asked people who know of her whereabouts to call the non-emergency line at 503-655-8211.
