Oregon reports 211 new coronavirus cases and zero new deaths

Health officials also reported 211 new virus cases, both confirmed and presumptive. There have been a total of 157,285 cases diagnosed in Oregon since the pandemic began more than one year ago.
Hospitalizations across the state increased by three, according to the OHA. In Oregon, there are currently 116 coronavirus patients-- 34 are in Intensive Care Unit beds.
Meanwhile, vaccination efforts continue. The OHA reported that 26,235 new vaccinations were added to the state's immunization registry--more than 16,000 of those doses were administered on Saturday, with the remaining administered in previous days and logged into the registry yesterday.
Notably, Governor Kate Brown was among those who were vaccinated on Saturday. She received the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine at an OHSU clinic in Scappoose.
Across Oregon, a cumulative total of 1,142,035 vaccinations have been administered so far. " To date, 1,362,535 doses of vaccine have been delivered" to the state, according to the OHA. Read full story
