PORTLAND, Oregon - On Monday afternoon, a teen girl reported to police that at about 3 PM, an unknown male attempted to touch her sexually. The incident reported to have occurred near the 7800 block of Southeast Luther Road along the Springwater Trail She told police that she was fooled into making sexual contact with the suspect in a secluded location along the trail. The suspect was a stranger to the teen. She told police the man was an "older" white man.

Officers searched the area for evidence around the Springwater Trail. Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit responded, along with a victim advocate. Anyone who might have been on the Springwater Trail in the area of the 7800 block of Southeast Luther Road on Monday, between noon and 3:00 PM and possibly noticed suspicious activity or who has video or images of that area captured during the time described, is encouraged to contact Detective Joseph Cox [email protected] 503-823-0577 or Detective Bob Boylan [email protected] 503-823-0999.
