Two Victims Injured During Three Shootings

PORTLAND, Oregon - Three shooting events are under investigation, where dozens of rounds were fired and two men were seriously hurt.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 7:58p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the intersection of Northeast Oneonta Street and Northeast Claremont Avenue on the edge of Woodlawn Park. They located a crashed car with an adult male driver suffering gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. Officers located over 60 casings and bullet strikes to three unoccupied cars. Case number is 21-38113.

At 10:15p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of shots heard in the area of North Commercial Avenue and North Mason Street in the Boise Neighborhood. Officers located over 30 shell casings. No known injuries in this case. The case number is 21-38131.

At 10:49p.m., North Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired a North Williams Avenue and North Alberta Street in the Humboldt Neighborhood. They arrived to find a driver of a car, an adult male, with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. More than 10 shell casings were recovered. Case number is 21-38240.

Despite very serious injuries, both victims are expected to recover. It's unknown if there is any connection between the shooting incidents.

These bring the total to 129 shootings for the year 2021 in the City of Portland (not including suicide attempts). Thirty-seven individuals have been shot and injured year-to-date. For the year thus far, we are averaging just slightly over one person killed or injured by gunfire every day.

The Portland Police Assault unit detectives and officers are investigating, but need more information from the public about what took place and who is responsible for the violence.
