PORTLAND, Oregon - In the early morning hours, Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 1:37 a.m. Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a Robbery of the Plaid Pantry at 104th and Southeast Holgate where the clerk was reported to be stabbed numerous times all over his body. Arriving officers located found the clerk seriously injured in fact stabbed multiple times all over his body. Officers called for Portland Fire and AMR ambulance to treat the injured clerk. The victim was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers were able to determine through their investigation that the suspect came into the store Robbed and stabbed the victim. The suspect is described as a white, male in his 30's to 40's, He is described as having a receding hairline with tufts of hair on either side of his head. His eyes are described as sunken with a large forehead, large nose, moustache and scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing brown boots dark, blue jeans, a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a black jacket over it.

The Forensic Evidence Division responded and processed the crime scene. Detectives were notified and have begun their investigation.
