WALLA WALLA COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies arrested an Oregon man for stealing 2020's most sought-after item-- toilet paper.

The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office said they also caught the man, who has yet to be identified, with over $1,000 worth of other allegedly stolen items.

The so-called "Great Toilet Paper Caper of 2020" started over the weekend when someone called 9-1-1 to report a burglary in progress. The witness followed the alleged TP thief long enough to give authorities a description of the man's vehicle.
