Shooting Investigation in Eliot Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Oregon On July 15th, 2020, at approximately 11:36 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 3500 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Boulevard on reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived at the location and learned a suspect exited his vehicle and fired several shots at a victim who was on foot in the 400 block of Northeast Fremont Street. Both suspect and victim fled the scene immediately following the shooting.

It is unknown at this time whether the victim was hit by gunfire and neither the suspect nor victim have been located.
