PORTLAND, Oregon - On February 19th, 2020, members of the Portland Police Bureau were made aware of a vandalism to at Southeast 38th Avenue and Southeast Schiller Street. During the vandalism, a suspect driving a white pick-up truck drove through freshly poured concrete, causing an estimated $30,000 in damage.

The Central Precinct officer assigned to the case conducted follow up and gathered video evidence of the incident. The video footage can be found here: https://youtu.be/roNY02qGnD0

The officer developed a suspect in the case and on March 3rd, arrested 28 year-old Richard Reed (PHOTO).

Reed was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Criminal Mischief 1 (2 counts) and Reckless Driving.

"This in an egregious case of public property damage and I want to thank Central Precinct Officer Peter Braun for his efforts in identifying and capturing the individual responsible," said Assistant Chief Mike Frome.
