Shooting in Hazelwood Neighborhood, Occupied House Struck

PORTLAND, Oregon - East Precinct and the Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) are investigating a shooting this evening in the Hazelwood neighborhood that left an occupied house and a parked car with bullet strikes.

On Friday, January 24, 2020 at 7:27p.m., East Precinct Officers responded to reports of gunfire heard near Southeast 139th Avenue and Southeast Stark Street. Officers found evidence of gunfire but did not find anyone injured. The officers closed off the area and began an investigation. Southeast 139th Avenue is closed between Southeast Stark Street and Southeast Taylor Street.

An occupied home and a parked car were found with bullet strikes. GVRT responded to lead the investigation.
