Edwards was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Assault I (Domestic Violence), Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Domestic Violence), and Tampering with Evidence (Domestic Violence). Domestic violence is among the most frequent and serious forms of violent crime investigated by police. The Portland Police Bureau's Domestic Violence Reduction Unit is a unique collaboration between the Portland Police Bureau, the Multnomah County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Volunteers of America, Raphael House, El Programa Hispano and victim advocates. Specially trained Police Officers and victim advocates work as a team to review and follow-up on reported incidents of domestic violence.
