TROUTDALE, Oregon - On Saturday, November 2nd, at approximately 5:50 PM the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, Union Pacific Police, and AMR responded to a call of a pedestrian being fatally struck by a Union Pacific train in Troutdale Or., near the Historic Columbia River Hwy.

The Vehicular Crimes Team responded to the scene and conducted a crash investigation.

The 17-year-old Estacada High School student was hit shortly before 6 p.m. He was killed by a the Union Pacific near the Troutdale Bridge while taking his senior photos. He died at the scene.

Due to the boy's death the family's request we not releasing the boy's name.

Union Pacific and MCSO would ask all to stay off the railroad tracks and only cross in public crossing areas.

Police say because of the open investigation there are no further details at this time.
