Previous story Shots Fired in Motel Room, Victim Grazed Next story

On Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 3:58 a.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a motel in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire and a victim with a graze wound. The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance with a non-life threatening injury. Officers secured the crime scene. It did not affect any traffic in the area.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team responded to assume the investigation. Investigators determined that a suspect fired the shots and then left before police arrived. Detectives are still investigating and are interested in hearing from anyone with information about this incident.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team is continuing to investigate several incidents of gun violence citywide.
