Sheridan/SW Polk/West Valley Fire Districts responded to a call for service at 3:10 p.m. for a motor vehicle crash on HWY 22 at Mile Post 21. A minivan went off the roadway and struck several signs and landed in a drainage ditch. There were six occupants of the van. It was reported that there were multiple injuries.

West Valley Medic 181 and sheriffs deputies arrived first and attempted to resuscitate one of the occupants. Four of the occupants were transported by ambulances from West Valley Fire District, Sheridan Fire District, McMinniville Fire Department, and Dallas Fire & EMS to area hospitals, One occupant was transported to Spirit Mountain Casino were they were met by Life Flight.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office, Spirit Mountain Casino Security, Oregon State Police, and The Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde Police gave assistance.

The roadway was closed during the investigation.
