Two pickups collide killing one driver on Hwy 36 in Lane County

LANE COUNTY - On Sunday, June 30, 2019 sometime around 2P.M. pickup trucks crashed on Hwy 36 near milepost 36.
Police believe a Dodge pickup, operated by Josh Berlanga (36) of Junction City, was traveling west on Hwy 36 when for an unknown reason crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound white Ford pickup, operated by Patrick Gulick (73) of Blachly, Oregon.
Both drivers were transported via air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
Gulick later died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
Hwy 36 was closed for about 4 1/2 hours. OSP was assisted by Junction City Fire Department, Lane County Fire Department, and ODOT.
