On Monday, March 4th, 2019, at 9:06 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at 12335 Northeast Glisan Street.

Officers arrived at the store and learned the suspect entered the location, brandished a handgun, stole keys, and left the location. The suspect tried to take the vehicle associated with the keys, but was unable to. He then returned and stole pharmaceuticals, then left again.

Responding officers searched the neighborhood and while conducting a K9 track, the suspect's mother notified dispatch that the suspect wanted to turn himself in. Officers located the suspect, 37 year-old Nikolaus Heifner, and took him into custody at The Bottle Drop located at 12403 Northeast Glisan Street. Officers also located the firearm believed to be used in the incident.

Heifner is expected to be lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges related to this incident. There are no photos available at this time.
