OREGON CITY – The City of Oregon City, regretfully announces the resignation of Commissioner Nancy Ide, effective Friday, January 18, 2019. Commissioner Ide cited, "As a community volunteer, I often give 30+ hours a week to Commissioner duties and as co-chair of the Homeless Solutions Coalition of Clackamas County (now in its 3rd year). The Coalition has grown in depth and in scope and requires more of my time and undivided attention as we work toward solutions to the homelessness."

Commissioner Ide states the decision did not come easy and appreciates that the voters of Oregon City put their trust in her to serve on their behalf. She feels her contributions through the Coalition will be of benefit to the community at large.

City Manager, Tony Konkol expresses his sincere appreciation to Commissioner Ide for her public service. "Commissioner Ide has given two years of very valuable service to the City Commission and citizens of Oregon City. We respect her passion for the Homeless Solutions Coalition and look forward to working with her in her role as co-chair for the Coalition."

According to the City Charter, vacant elective officers in the City shall be filled by appointment of the City Commission.
