Last night, Thursday May 5, 2011, at approximately 9:02 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of a hit and run to a pedestrian at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard. Officers arrived and contacted a 29-year-old female who was injured in the hit and run. Medical personnel arrived and transported her to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers learned that the suspect vehicle was traveling westbound on Southeast Holgate Boulevard from 122nd when it struck the victim as she crossed the street. The victim was not in a crosswalk at the time she was struck by the vehicle. The suspect vehicle is described as a late 80s or early 90s tan minivan and was last seen westbound on Southeast Holgate Boulevard.

Traffic in the intersection was shut down briefly as officers conducted an investigation but is now reopened to all traffic. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Portland Police Traffic Investigations Unit at (503) 823-2103.
