BEND, Oreon - A central Oregon man has been sentenced to 3 years in prison after pleading guilty to criminally negligent homicide and driving under the influence of intoxicants in a January car crash involving a train.

31-year-old Clarence Ray Bryant of Warm Springs pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday in the death of one of his passengers, 21-year-old Paul Miller of Warm Springs.

Police said Bryant missed a corner on a street near Metolius and his vehicle rolled for more than 100 feet before it landed on railroad tracks, where it was struck by a train.

Two other passengers survived the Jan. 15 crash.
