Portland Police detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of this afternoons shooting at Northeast 11th and Multnomah.

The victim, a 14-year-old male, is in critical condition at an area hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Initial information to police was that several shots were fired in the area of Northeast 11th and Multnomah. When officers arrived they found the victim down on the NW corner sidewalk of Holladay Park. Medical personnel briefly treated him at the scene then transported him to an area hospital.

Detectives from the Homicide Detail and Gang Enforcement Team are at Northeast 11th and Multnomah processing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses. At this point it is not clear if the shooting is gang-related.

No suspect information is available and no arrests have been made.

Traffic will continue to be blocked from Northeast 13th to 9th along Multnomah and 11th from Multnomah to Holladay.
