|Search continues for Missing Canadian Couple Last Seen in Baker City|

At this time the search has extended through Baker, Malheur, Grant and Harney counties in Eastern and Southeastern Oregon. The Baker County Sheriff's Office, along with their Search and Rescue (SAR) Team, has patrolled approximately 1,360 miles of state highways and county roads in Baker County, utilizing six SAR Teams. The SAR Commander has also been responsible for coordinating with Sheriff's Offices in Grant and Malheur counties.
Malheur County Sheriff's Office has utilized two airplanes in their search, which thus far has extended over an eight hour period and encompassed approximately 700 air miles. Their efforts have focused on the more remote and treacherous areas of their county. Their personnel have also patrolled approximately 500 miles of state and county roads in Malheur County. Weather conditions have thus far prevented an aerial search in other counties.
