Police say the eighth grade boy used a hidden iTouch device, similar to an iPhone to video record girls in the high school locker room. Superintendent Sid Hobgood said the boy shared the videos with other boys but it's not clear how many kids saw the videos or exactly what the contents are. Rumors about the videos have spread through St. Paul.
The discovery occurred last Friday and Hobgood called the sheriff's office when a former student told him of the video taken inside the locker room. About 90 students attend the high school.
The girl's locker room is also the boy's locker room and girls also use the locker room during girls' basketball games.
The boy was suspended as the investigation continues. Detectives said they don't believe the video was transferred to the internet as the boy may not have had a chance to transfer it. The detectives are also not certain how many students saw the videos,
The girls involved who may have been in the videos have talked to school counselors and will also meet detectives.
