PORTLAND, Oregon – Portland homeowner Patrick Cox says he's now even more worried and afraid after three separate several fires were started on his property in the last half year.

He said he rarely leaves his home after finding a duffel bag full of rags soaked in paint thinner on his front porch.

"I'm very paranoid. I'm very anxious now," Cox said. "I don't venture out much at night. If I do I always have someone with me, but it's very intense and I don't want to live this way."

The previous fires burned fencing, shrubs, and his recycle container set on fire.

Cox received the house from his mother when she died. Cox said he suspects a jealous family member caused the fires.

He now has a video surveillance system and has posted signs around his area but there have been no captured suspects on video.

Cox said he feels the next fire could be deadly. Portland Fire Bureau are working with him to catch the suspect.
