Josephine Overaker, AKA Lisa Quintana, was allegedly a member of 'The Family', a domestic eco-terrorist cell. Members acted in the name of extremist groups, including the Animal Liberation Front and the Earth Liberation Front.
Special Agent Tim Suttles said Overaker is wanted for crimes in Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, and Wyoming. Locally it involved the arson of a Detroit Ranger Station, Oakridge Ranger Station, and Cabel West in Redmond. Most famously is Vail ski resort arson. Overaker was involved in all of those actions and has been a fugitive since 2004."
Josephine Quintana is still wanted by the FBI, despite her colleagues having now completed their sentences.
Now aged 49-years, she was originally charged with offences dating back to 1996. In 2004, she was last seen in Eugene, Oregon but the FBI believes she may be anywhere working as a firefighter, midwife, sheep tender, or even a masseuse.
Suttles says Overaker is fluent in Spanish and may be living overseas in Spain. She left the United States shortly after Operation Backfire, which was an FBI, led national takedown about 16 years ago which resulted in the arrests of some of her co-conspirators.
Word has it that a future episode of "America's Most Wanted" may focus on her case.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for details leading to her arrest.
