Two People Shot and Two Other Shootings

PORTLAND, Oregon - Portland Police responded to two walk-in gunshot wounds and two different shooting scenes in Portland last night.

The first incident occurred on December 26, 2020, at 8:37 p.m., when officers from the East Precinct responded to the area of Northeast 82nd Ave and Northeast Glisan St on a shots fired call. Officers found evidence of a shooting near the location. A short time later, a 15 year-old female walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound, which was non-life-threatening (case #20-380329).

The second incident occurred on December 26, 2020, at 9:46 p.m., in the 9200 block of Southeast Powell Blvd. Officers from the East Precinct responded to a report of a person shot at that location. When officers arrived they found multiple casings and a vehicle that was struck by gunfire. Officers also located significant amounts of blood but there was no victim. While officers were investigating, an adult male walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries (case #20-380369).

The third incident occurred on December 26, 2020, at 11:12 p.m., when officers from the East Precinct responded to the 6600 block of Southeast 72nd Ave on a shots fired call. Officers located at least nine bullet strikes to a residence and multiple casings. The bullets went through the living room at the residence and into bedrooms. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting and there were no injuries to anyone inside (case #20-380421).

The fourth incident occurred on December 26, 2020, at 11:23 p.m., when officers from the North Precinct responded to a shooting at a convenience store in the 6000 block of Northeast Columbia Blvd. An employee there appeared to be targeted after three teens entered the store and began to steal items. The employee confronted the teens and repeatedly asked them to leave. One of the teens spit on the employee prior to leaving the store. Moments after the suspects left the store, shots were fired into the store. The employee was not injured (case #20-380432).
