PORTLAND, Oregon - The investigation into the death of the three week old infant continues. At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The manner and cause of death will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.

On Friday, October 4, 2019, at 9:21 a.m., Central Precinct Officers responded to the 2500 block of Northeast Flanders Street on the report of a three week old infant who was not breathing. Medical personnel performed CPR and the infant was transported to Randall's Children's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Portland Police Bureau's Child Abuse Team is investigating the circumstances. The investigators are collaborating with the State of Oregon Medical Examiner's Office and the Department of Human Services during the investigation.
