  Tuesday June 7, 2011 - 9:51 AM
A former La Pine Water District commissioner is facing a trial on theft charges.

The Bulletin newspaper in Bend reports that BarbeAnn Nelson-Dodson entered a not guilty plea in Deschutes County Circuit Court on Monday.

Nelson-Dodson is accused of stealing at least $60,000 from Margot Gaddis of La Pine while Gaddis served 10 months at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for felony driving under the influence of intoxicants and attempted arson.

Nelson-Dodson lost her spot on the board of commissioners in the May election.

A jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 26.
