  Monday June 6, 2011 - 8:41 AM
PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon's farmworker union plans to donate its historical records to the University of Oregon.

The organization is called Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste, or PCUN, the Spanish acronym for Northwest Farmworkers and Treeplanters United.

Oregon Public Broadcasting says the group was founded in 1985 and has accumulated papers, pictures, tape recordings and other documentation of its work.

PCUN secretary-treasurer Larry Kleinman says that every memo and poster has meaning

Those materials will be housed at the University of Oregon's Knight Library. The donation is planned to take place on Monday
