Officer-Involved Shooting from January Begins Next Phase of Review

On Friday, February 22, 2019, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury returned a not true bill regarding the use of force by Portland Police Officer Consider Vosu on January 6, 2019.

On Friday, February 22, 2019, Chief Danielle Outlaw and Mayor Ted Wheeler met with the family of Andre Gladen, who was fatally shot in the incident.

"The Portland Police Bureau is awaiting additional information from the Grand Jury transcripts," said Chief Danielle Outlaw. "When I met with Mr. Gladen's family today, I listened and assured them this tragic incident is receiving a thorough level of investigation and review. It was an impactful meeting and I appreciated the family's willingness to meet with us."
