Shooting Investigation Overnight in Portland's Centennial Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Oregon - On Friday, October 5, 2018, at 10:37 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Speakeasy Lounge, located at 545 Southeast 162nd Avenue.

When officers arrived, they searched the area for suspects, injured people, and evidence of gunfire. Officers performed a neighborhood search for suspects, but did not locate anyone believed to be a suspect in this shooting.

As officers canvassed the area they located evidence of gunfire in the 600 block of Southeast 162nd Avenue. Officers also located two unoccupied vehicles parked near the Speakeasy Lounge that were struck by gunfire and there bullet strikes located on the east side of the Speakeasy Lounge.

This investigation is on-going and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.

Based on preliminary information, the Gun Violence Response Team responded to assume the investigation. Criminalists with the Forensic Evidence Division have also responded to assist with this investigation.
