MEDFORD, Oregon — A well-known author of Jacksonville was charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of her uncle.
28-year-old Aisling "Tucker" Moore Reed was arrested Tuesday following the grand jury indictment last week.
Aisling Tucker Moore Reed, known by her pen name Tucker Reed, is an American blogger, author and journalist. Reed co-authored the young adult novel Amber House published in October 2012 and its sequel Neverwas, released internationally in January 2014.
Moore Reed was initially charged with first and second-degree manslaughter in the July 2016 death of Shane Patrick Moore in southern Oregon.
Her mother Kelly Moore has previously said the shooting was an act of self-defense.
Prosecutor Marco Boccato says the indictment stemmed from new evidence uncovered in recent months.
