Sunday Morning Drug Bust Nets Narcotics

PORTLAND, Oregon - On Sunday, July 15, narcotics officers observed an vehicle in the parking lot of the Jack in the Box restaurant, at 921 Southeast Powell Boulevard. As police drove into the parking lot, the suspect attempted to speed away but crashed his car into an occupied Drugs and Vice Division canine police unit. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Toren Paul Flom, was then arrested.

Drugs and Vice Division investigators located and seized as evidence 458 grams of the psychoactive drug, Molly/MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) inside Flom's vehicle. This led to a subsequent search of the Flom's residence in the 19000 block of Howell Street in Gladstone. During the search of the Flom's residence, Drugs and Vice Division investigators located and seized an additional 115 grams of MDMA. The estimated wholesale value of the seized MDMA is $45,000. Illegal narcotics seized in this investigation amount to approximately 2.865 street dosage units.

Flom was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Delivery of MDMA, Possession of MDMA, Attempt Elude By Vehicle, and Reckless Driving.
