Suspect Arrested For Measure 11 Crime

BEAVERTON, Oregon - On Sunday, police were called to Fred Meyer at 15995 SW Walker Road regarding multiple 911 calls. Officers arrested 44-year-old Hathasone Pathammavong for Assault in the Second Degree.

Witnesses Mr. Pathammavong entered Fred Meyer, walked up to a cashier helping customers and punched the employee in the head. Witnesses stated Mr. Pathammavong tried to leave but he was held down by bystanders. Officers originally arrested Mr. Pathammavong for Assault in the Fourth Degree.

The victim, 33-year-old Lisa Seeling of Beaverton, was taken to Westside Kaiser for a medical evaluation. Officers later learned Mrs. Seeling had a fractured Zygomatic bone in her face which will require surgery. Officers upgraded the charges against Mr. Pathammavong to Assault in the Second Degree, which is a measure 11 crime.

Officers were unable to find a motive in this case. Mr. Pathammavong and Mrs. Seeling didn't know each other and Mrs. Seeling stated she had never seen Mr. Pathammavong before the assault.
