Shortly after 0900 yesterday morning a 911 call was placed by two fishermen who had located what they believed was a body in the East fork of the Lewis River. Patrol units responded and confirmed that the remains of a male had been discovered in the water approximately three quarters of a mile below Daybreak Park. The Clark County Major Crimes Unit along with assets from the Clark County Marine Patrol responded and were successful in recovering the remains. The remains had been in the water for some time and identification was not possible. The remains were transferred to the Clark County Medical Examiners Office for identification and to determine cause of death.
