PORTLAND, Oregon - Thanksgiving is a popular time for getting together with family and friends, and police understand that can lead to drinking and driving.
The first call Washington County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brian Rogers received Wednesday night was about a suspected drunken driver. It turned out to be a false alarm.
But he spotted another driver without his vehicle's lights on. Rogers said a lot of times they catch suspected drunken drivers by first spotting minor infractions.
