LEBANON, Oregon - A two-vehicle collision on Highway 20 at Fairview Road reduced travel on to one lane in each direction for close to an hour Friday afternoon as Lebanon firefighters worked to extricate a pinned victim within one of the cars. Witnesses stated that a Ford sedan was attempting to turn left onto Highway 20 from Fairview Road towards Sweet Home and pulled directly into the path of a Lebanon bound Honda sedan.

The Honda attempted to stop but struck the Ford directly in the driver door at a high rate of speed, trapping the driver inside the vehicle. Three passengers in the Honda were evaluated on scene and refused treatment. Firefighters removed the roof from the Ford to safely extricate the pinned driver who was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted Lebanon Fire District crews on scene.
