CORVALIS, Oregon - On July 18, 2017, at approximately 3:45 am, Corvallis Police Department Officers were called to the Subway restaurant at 2479 NW Monroe Ave for a report of a robbery. An unknown male suspect wearing a mask entered the restaurant, presented a handgun to the employee, and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was uninjured, and the suspect fled prior to officers arriving.
On July 19th, 2017, at approximately 9:45 am, Corvallis Police Department Detectives, with the assistance of the Philomath Police Department, arrested 39-year-old Steven Lance Thompson of Corvallis, for Robbery I in connection with the armed robbery of Subway. Detectives from both agencies continued to investigate, leading to multiple search warrants, and learning that 18-year-old Kevin Maurice Mitchell of Corvallis, and 28-year-old Patrick Ambrose Daly of Albany, were also involved in the robbery of Subway on July 18th. All three males conspired together to plan, and then carry out the armed robbery. Daly was located and arrested on the afternoon of July 21st. Mitchell was arrested in the early morning hours of July 22nd. Both were taken into custody without incident.
All three are being held at the Benton County Jail. Thompson has been charged with Robbery I, Burglary I, Menacing, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Theft II. His bail is set at $175,000.
Mitchell has been charged with Robbery I, Burglary I, Menacing, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Theft II. His bail is set at $275,000.
Daly has been charged with Robbery I. His bail is set at $200,000.
