Street Crimes Units Arrest 47-Year-old Man for Dealing Crack Cocaine

On Thursday June 23, 2016, officers assigned to Street Crimes Units at Central and North Precincts arrested 47-year-old Marcus Williams after an investigation into crack cocaine distribution.

Williams was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Delivery of Cocaine near a School, Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine. Additionally, Williams was lodged on a parole violation (original charge of Manslaughter).

Officers developed information that Williams was dealing crack cocaine in the City of Portland and developed probable cause to arrest him on Thursday afternoon. Officers contacted Williams in his vehicle in the Walgreen's parking lot at North Lombard Street and Peninsular Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers seized approximately ?1/2 ounce of crack cocaine, packaged for sale, from Williams.
