2 car crash hwy 18B

6:42 PM Sheridan Fire, ODOT, YCSO and Oregon State Troopers were dispatched to a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy18B and Rock Creek Rd. Upon arrival crews found two vehicles with heavy damage, two occupants in each vehicle. Both vehicles required substantial extrication to get the patients out. An air ambulance, Oregon Lifeguard, was requested to the scene along with additional units from West Valley Fire. Two patients were taken to Salem Hospital and one was taken to Willamette Valley Medical Center, the air ambulance transported to Salem as well.

All fire units have cleared the scene at this time and the scene has been turned over to Oregon State Police.

We are asking people to stay clear of the area as ODOT and OSP work to investigate and clear the scene. If any additional information about this incident comes forward we will provide an additional press release.

This intersection, and the immediate area,is an area with frequent accidents. We encourage all drivers to follow the posted traffic signs and be extra mindful on their travels.
