Sherwood Sends Boil Water Advisory

SHERWOOD, Oregon - The City of Sherwood Public Works Department is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory to a limited area of southeastern Sherwood. While the city has no reason to believe your drinking water was contaminated, Oregon law requires that drinking water providers issue precautionary boil water advisories to customers affected by pressure losses in water mains. The pressure loss was the result of a temporary pump outage.

Officials say this is a routine precaution, and there is no need to be alarmed. Water samples were collected earlier this morning in the affected area to ensure your drinking water wasn't contaminated by potentially harmful bacteria during the service interruption.

Go to the City's webpage to access an interactive tool to determine if your home is in the affected area or call 503.625.5722.
