Sweet Tooth Arrested Burglar Arrested

PORTLAND, Oregon - On Tuesday May 31, 2016, at 3:47 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to a burglary alarm at Moonstruck Chocolates, located at 6600 North Baltimore Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and could see a suspect walking around on the second floor of the building.

Officers surrounded the building and as they were awaiting the arrival of a Canine Unit, the suspect walked out of the building and was taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the suspect's belongings, they located a box of chocolates, stolen from Moonstruck.

The suspect, 41-year-old Matthew Brush, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Theft in the Third Degree.
