The bike/pedestrian path off NW Burnside and 24th Place will be closed all day on May 18, 2016, to complete paving on Sterns Canyon Road in Washington Park. Please see the attached map.
The best detour from the NW Flanders/NW Everett bikeway is to use NW 23rd to Vista Ave, then to Park Ave into Washington Park. We apologize for the inconvenience of this project as we work to make Sterns Canyon a better connection for cyclists. The first phase of this project is to repave portions of the pathway. Later, we will remove the gate and replace it with bollards. In addition, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will be making improvements to the bike signal, signage, and curb ramps at that intersection to improve access. We expect the full project to be complete in late summer.
