Cochran said she was asleep on the couch at Luysters house when she awoke to Luyster hitting her in the head and face with a pistol and to being grabbed by the hair and drug down a hall. She had no idea what caused Luyster to assault her.

Luyster and Cochran have a child in common but do not live together at Luyster's house at 123 Solo View Longview, Wa. Cochran lives at an undisclosed address in Vancouver.

When Deputies approached Lusters house, gun fire come from the woods near the house. The deputies believe Luyster was shooting at them, the deputies were not injured. Deputies eventually talked Luyster to surrendering. They found a .223 semiautomatic rife, a 12ga shotgun, and a 40 caliber Glock pistol in the woods where Luyster had been shooting.
