On Tuesday evening, Missing Persons Unit detectives learned from Spurgeon's family that she has been safely located in a Portland area hospital.

The Bureau would like to thank all of those community members who shared the story.

The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate a 51-year-old woman missing from her St. John's Neighborhood home.

Annie Marie Spurgeon is described as 4'9" tall, 90 pounds, with collar-length reddish-brown hair. Spurgeon is deaf and wears glasses.

Spurgeon was last seen on April 24 at the St. John's Safeway, where she has worked for 25 years. Spurgeon has been out of contact with her family and may be suffering a mental health crisis.

Anyone seeing Spurgeon is asked to call 9-1-1 so that police can check her welfare. Anyone with non-emergency information should contact Missing Persons by email,
