Alex Matthew Woolner, 37 years of age, from North Plains was arrested this evening for crimes he committed against patients while working as a nurse for Kaiser Permanente in Beaverton. Woolner was victimizing female patients that came to Kaiser Permanente for medical treatment.
On January 26, 2016 the Beaverton Police Department initiated an investigation into alleged criminal offenses committed by Woolner while performing duties as a nurse at the Beaverton Kaiser Permanente clinic on SW Western Avenue. The initial investigation involved allegations that Woolner abused his position by having contact with the victim, both physical and verbal, which was sexual in nature and which subjected the victim to an unnecessary and intrusive exam.
During the course of the investigation, additional victims have been identified resulting in multiple criminal offenses and related charges for Woolner that were similar in nature. Woolner would access victims' medical records to in order to obtain their personal cell phone numbers. He would then text and call the victims recommending additional medical procedures and for the victims to call him directly and not the Kaiser Clinic.
It is believed Woolner had direct patient contact at this location starting on January 1, 2016 and through February 29, 2016.
As there is the potential for additional victims, Detectives are asking anyone who was seen by Alex Woolner at Kaiser Permanente and feel they have information that is pertinent to this investigation, to please call the Beaverton Police Department at (503) 629-0111.
