BodyOf 36-Year-Old man Recovered From Willamette River

Update: The deceased has been identified as Genaro Reed Keehn, Age 36, of Portland, OR. Keehn had previously been reported missing to the Portland Police Bureau on March 1, 2016. The Medical Examiner reported there were no signs of foul play and the Cause of Death was ruled blunt force chest trauma and drowning. The Manner of Death was undetermined.

On Thursday March 31, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m. Multnomah County Sheriff's Office River Patrol deputies responded to the report of a body seen in the Willamette River near the St. John's Bridge by a person fishing from the Cathedral Park dock. Portland Fire Bureau units assisting on the call located the body approximately thirty feet from the easternmost pier under the St. Johns Bridge. MCSO River patrol units arrived in the area and recovered the body of a deceased adult. The body was transported to the Cathedral Park boat ramp. MCSO detectives and the Medical Examiner were notified. The body will be turned over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office.
