SEATTLE - A pregnant woman who police say stabbed her boyfriend this morning in Seattle's Delridge neighborhood, has fled the scene of the incident.

Her boyfriend later died at Harborview Medical Center.

Police and medics responded to the scene, in the 9000 block of 17th Avenue SW, at about 12:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a domestic disturbance, said Mark Jamieson of the Seattle police.

Officers found the 35-year-old victim in his car parked in the alley suffering from a stab wound to his chest. Seattle Fire Department medics rushed the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he died from his injury.

A preliminary investigation found that the suspect is the man's pregnant 35-year-old girlfriend. She fled before police arrived and is still on the run, police said. No description of the suspect was immediately available.

A witness told investigators that the victim and his girlfriend had been involved in a physical altercation inside their residence before the victim was stabbed.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Seattle Police at (206) 233-5000.
